Katy Perry
has released her music video for "Unconditionally," and while her
smash hit single "Roar" was jungle-themed ... this one features an
owl subplot.
She dropped
the video last night with this Tweet: "Yes, unconditional love sometimes
feels like being hit by a car... Or being on fire... How does it feel to
you?"
Both of the
aforementioned incidents happen to Perry in the video, which is a real hoot, if
you follow. We're going for an owl-themed play on words.
Watch the
"Unconditionally" music video below and see for yourself:
Katy Perry
previous said that she wanted this video to focus on both "beauty and
glamor," and be unlike "Roar" or anything she's produced in the
past.
Mission
accomplished. Touching on all the different elements, fans will see the lovely
singer in different settings while emotionally singing into the camera.
The high-production
music video provides plenty of artistic imagery, while being partially inspired
by her romance with John Mayer (no, he doesn't appear).
